Spirituality
The Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin are women of hope.
This hope :
- finds itself in God, Father and Providence
- nourishes itself in God's Word by the examples of Our Lady of the Assumption
- manifests itself through apostolic charity
This spirituality is formulated in the following way:

The mystery of the Assumption is proposed to our faith as a living exemplar of the ultimate accomplishment to which God, Father and Providence, leads humanity in and through Christ.
The contemplation of this mystery, source of hope and spiritual dynamism, is a constant reminder of the fulfillment of being unto which the Lord redeemed us.
In this mystery, Mary is presented to us as receiving the World of God and living it in the totality of her being. Thus, she shows the ways we must follow to allow the Lord to carry out his work in us and through us .

THE COAT OF ARMS OF THE SASV

The motto, RESPICE STELLAM, VOCA MARIAM, defines the nature of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin: a Marian Congregation. The slogan, EUNTES ERGO DOCETE OMNES GENTES, states its field of action: teaching.
MARIAN CONGREGATION: The rosary beads illustrate the Marian character, expressed also by the armorial color on the ground of the shield: azure.
CONGREGATION OF THE ASSUMPTION: The silver comet, set as a band that seems to cross the azure ground of the shield, symbolizes the mystery of Our Lady's Assumption.
TEACHING CONGREGATION: The two flambeaux, crossed behind the shield, indicate the lofty task of teaching.
MISSIONARY CONGREGATION: The cross, bearing the colors of the four human races - white, black, yellow, red - paraphrases the idea of Christ's: "Go, teach all nations."
